Based on time-of-flight mass spectrometry technology with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation over time, the EXS2600 is used in the identification of microorganisms for the diagnosis of several types of bacteria, fungi, etc.
The clinical database includes: over 3700 species, covering 15000 strains to account for diversity and provide higher accuracy, 300 types of specialty bacteria including filamentous fungi, yeasts, noca bacteria, legionella etc.

Combined with artificial intelligence algorithms, microbial intelligence typing software shows excellent performance for routine microbes and could also help identify hard-to-identify bacteria such as E.coli and Shigella.
